What’s the difference between hemp-derived delta-9 THC and the THC in dispensary products?

Chemically speaking, there’s no difference. It’s the same delta-9 THC molecule that’s responsible for the familiar effects. The difference is where it comes from and how it’s legally regulated. Hemp-derived THC is extracted from hemp plants that contain less than 0.3% THC by dry weight, making it federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. Marijuana-derived THC comes from cannabis plants with higher natural THC levels and is regulated through states’ adult recreational or medical cannabis programs. Even though our drinks are under the 0.3% limit, the total THC content adds up to a meaningful, measurable dose similar to what you’d find in lower-dose cannabis products from dispensaries.

How is it legal if it still produces those same awesome effects?
It comes down to math and definitions. The 2018 Farm Bill made hemp, or cannabis with less than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight, federally legal. Our drinks stay below that threshold even though each one contains 5mg of THC. The result is a beverage that’s compliant by weight but still delivers a balanced, enjoyable buzz.

What will I feel like after drinking one?
